Aim & Scope:

The question of how to attain sustainability in agriculture has grown in importance, yet it is not a simple task. Numerous factors affect farming operations, including crop rotation, costs for inputs and outputs, cultivation techniques, work habits, CAP regulations, cross compliance, GAEC and SMR, and potential commercialization of agricultural products. Agronomic issues are not the only ones to consider; economic, social and farm management levels must also be considered. This is a difficult subject because every farm is a distinct and intricate system with multiple components, effects and interactions. A farm is a hierarchicalstructure where all levels of the organization are connected to both the top and bottom levels.Issues frequently arise at levels of organization that are greater, such population, community, and ecosystem. These issues must be addressed at the proper level, or at the very least in light of the agricultural system's hierarchical relationships.

List of Topics:

• GIS, GPS and remote sensing for crop management, global warming, GM crops, seed production technology; seed certification, seed multiplication, hybrid seed
production.
• Concepts of system approach in agriculture; holistic approach of farming systems, dryland farming, sustainable agriculture and research methodology in Agronomy.
• Precision agriculture, contract farming, organic farming, marketing and export potential of organic products.
• Crop residue management in multiple cropping systems; latest developments in plant management, weed management, cropping systems, grassland management, agroforestry.
• Crop simulation, Farm mechanization
