AIM & SCOPE

The book, “Microbes of Medical Importance” is written by eminent professors, research scholars and medical doctors from all over the world. Aim of the publication of this book is to inspire innovation and promote academic quality through outstanding publication of scientist and doctors involved in the field of medical microbiology. It also provided a platform for researchers, practitioners and educators to publish their valuable insights in the field of medical microbiology. It also provided a remarkable opportunity for the academic, research and doctors communities to address new challenges and share solutions and discuss future research directions in the field of medical microbiology. This book is divided into five units, bacteria, virus, fungi, parasites and recent advances in medical microbiology. The first unit of the book, bacteria which contains six chapters. First chapter, Bacterial Pathogenesis is written by Ms. Neha Pandey. Second and third chapters, Gram negative bacterial pathogens and Gram positive bacterial pathogens are written by Prof. Thi Thu Hoai Nguyen. The fourth chapter, Non-Tuberculous Mycobacteria is written by Ms. BV Apoorva Gota. The fifth chapter, Campylobacter is written by Dr. Margaret Ordonez-Smith. The sixth chapter, Bacterial Aspect of Sexually Transmitted Infections is written by Dr. Aditya Rana. The second unit of the book, virus which contains five chapters. First and second chapters, General Virology and Viruses Causing Human Diseases are written by Dr. Priti Das. Third chapter Epstein Barr Virus (EBV)-Associated Cancer biomarkers for diagnosis, prognosis and therapy: Narrative Review is written by Prof. Abubakar Yaro. The fourth chapter, Recent Updates on Covid-19 Diagnosis & Pathogenesis is written by Dr. Shahbaz Aman. The fifth chapter, Drug Resistance in Four Important Human Viruses: Updated Review is written by Prof. Abubakar Yaro. The third unit of the book, fungi which contains five chapters. First, second and third chapters, Overview of Fungal Disease and Medical Mycology, Yeasts and Yeast-like Organisms of Medical Importance and Dimorphic Fungi, Molds, and Mold-like Agents of Medical Importance is written by Dr. Kristy Shanahan. The fourth chapter, Sporothrix is written by Ms. Steffin Rodrigues. The fifth chapter, Antifungal Chemotherapy is written by Dr. Jessica Cottreau. The fourth unit of the book, parasites which contains two chapters. First chapter, Overview of Intestinal Coccidian Parasites in Human Beings is written by Dr. Vidyut Prakash. Second chapter, Exotic tropical infections is written by Dr. Gloria Ojeamiren. The fifth unit of the book, recent advances in medical microbiology which contains ten chapters. Third chapter, A microbiological perspective on ocular cojunctivitis is written by Ms. Roshini Youvaraj. Fourth chapter, Important microbes in Dentistry is written by Dr. Mehwash Kashif , Dr. Aman Asher. Fifth chapter, Monoclonal Antibodies: A Promising Weapon Against the Silent Pan-demic of Multidrug-Resistant Bacteria is written by Dr. Ming-Hsien Chiang. Sixth chapter, AI and Big Data Analysis is written by Ms. Neha Pandey. Seventh chapter, Emergence of Antimicrobial resistance: Nanoparticles – A novel approach to combat this crisis is written by Dr. Shahbaz Aman.
